Executive Summary
In 2020, all of us were thrown into a state of sudden "remoteness". Companies that had always worked in an in-office setup had to learn to build & manage a team remotely.
For 2 years, we saw companies adjusting to this new normal and learning ways to make "remote work" work. Gradually many started getting good at remote work, heck even enjoying it.
Then, everything started opening up in the post-COVID world.
Most remote work teams transitioned into hybrid setups. And, slowly but surely all the best practices of working remotely have been forgotten.
So, now is a good time to remind each other the things that we learnt painfully. The practices that helped us survive & thrive in the forced remote world of COVID.
