You contribute 12% of basic; your employer contributes 12% more, of which 8.33% (capped at ₹1,250) goes to EPS pension and the rest to EPF. On the default basic that is ₹8,350 a month combined.

Transfer, don't withdraw. Withdrawals before 5 years of continuous service are taxable and break compounding. Transfers via UAN keep the corpus intact.
