A web developer with intermediate experience earns an average salary of $82,503 per year in the United States. According to Glassdoor, this is the average salary, but it can range from $54k/yr on the low end to $127k/yr for someone with intermediate experience.
We also investigated two other platforms, ZipRecruiter and Talent.com. The average salary, according to ZipRecruiter, is $58k/yr, which is significantly lower than the amount quoted by Glassdoor.
However, Talent.com quotes a salary of $90k/yr, which, while closer to Glassdoor, is significantly higher than the one stated by both the others. The range quoted by ZipRecruiter is $21-$98k/yr for an intermediate level of experience. On the other hand, Talent.com quotes this range to be$68-$129k/yr.
According to Glassdoor, the average annual salary for a senior web developer is around $102k, with salaries ranging from $66k to $160k. According to ZipRecruiter, this salary is around $128k, which is much higher than the platform's average salary. Talent.com, on the other hand, claims that the senior web developer salary ranges between $95k and $146k.
A junior web developer earns around $68k per year on average, with salaries ranging from $45k to $105k. According to ZipRecruiter and Talent.com, these figures are $51k and $65k per year, respectively.

The salaries earned by web developers vary greatly from one region to the next. As per the data we collected, web developers in Australia, Germany and Canada earned an average annual salary of around $50-60k/yr. In the USA this amount nears $90k/yr. However, in Brazil, India and Egypt, these rates are much lower as shown in the above graphs.
