A senior developer, on the other hand, would earn an average of $201k/year. A senior Golang developer's compensation ranges from $137k to $304k per year. These are some of the highest numbers as per our research across technologies.

    We also reviewed Golang compensation statistics on a few other platforms, and there was some difference in the data when compared to Glassdoor's figures. According to ZipRecruiter, the annual income for a Go developer with intermediate expertise ranges between $50k and $204k, with $132k being the average. According to Talent.com, the same pay is $136k/yr, with a range of $117k/yr to $170k/yr.

    According to Talent.com data, a senior Go developer receives an average yearly income of $160k, which is quite lower than the number provided by Glassdoor, but makes sense given the disparity in intermediate experience level salary numbers.

    The data for junior and senior Golang developer salaries was unfortunately unavailable on ZipRecruiter. Talent.com also didn’t have the data for a junior Go developer.

The trend in the regional variations in salary is also comparable to other technologies, with high cost of living regions seeing much higher average annual Golang developer salaries than those with a lower cost.
