-
Android developers in the United States of America earn an average salary of $88,159/yr according to data by Glassdoor. This salary can be anywhere in the range of $58k/yr to $135k/yr, though, for a developer with an intermediate level of experience. The amount also varies greatly depending on the experience level and location of the developer, among other factors.
We checked a couple of other platforms, ZipRecruiter and Talent.com for the above stats, and the amount varied considerably. ZipRecruiter quoted a much higher intermediate level salary of $114k/yr, although their lower range limit was $36k/yr. The upper range limit was $168k/yr. Talent.com quoted this salary as an even higher amount of $122k/yr, ranging between $101k/yr and $156k/yr on average.
The junior and senior developer salaries across the three platforms also differed quite a bit. Junior developers earn about $78k/yr according to Glassdoor, and this usually ranges from $52-$120k/yr. ZipRecruiter gives a range for this as between $41k/yr to $129k/yr and quotes the average amount to be $75k/yr, which is pretty close to the Glassdoor amount. Talent.com on the other hand states a considerably higher amount at $85k/yr, which is almost as much as the average for an intermediate level dev according to Glassdoor. The range for junior developers according to Talent.com is between $75k-$129k/yr.
The average senior Android developer salary according to Glassdoor is $119k/yr and ranges between $77k/yr and $186k/yr. ZipRecruiter states this amount to be between $61k-$182k/yr and shows an average of $132k/yr. The amount shown for a senior Android developer salary on Talent.com is $142.5k and ranges between $120k-$175k/yr.
Android Developer Salary By Location
Along with experience levels, the pay for Android developers varies substantially by geography. This graph of Android developer compensation by region shows how much more money North American, European, and Australian Android developers make than their colleagues in Asia, South America, or Africa. For example, whilst the average pay in Australia and Germany is close to USD 70k, it is around $8k in Egypt.
These variations are usually inversely connected to the area cost of living. While costs vary, the degree of skill does not always vary as much throughout the world, and exceptional talent may be found in less expensive regions.
